The Parliament of the Gods

Θεῶν ἐκκλησία

The Parliament of the Gods, called The Gods in Council in the Fowlers' volume, is a satire on the crowding of heaven with foreign deities and with men raised to godhead. Zeus presides and Momus, the god of fault-finding, makes the speech. The Greek has 19 sections.
