Menippus

Μένιππος ἢ Νεκυομαντεία

Menippus, also called the Necyomancy or consultation of the dead, is a dialogue in which the Cynic Menippus meets a friend after a journey to the underworld. He tells of his descent with the magus Mithrobarzanes, of the pageant of human life as the dead see it, and of the answer of Tiresias. The Greek is divided into 22 sections.
