Callimachus · c. 310 – c. 240 BC
Six hymns, four in the epic manner of the Homeric Hymns and two (the Bath of Pallas and Demeter) in the Doric and elegiac forms of cult song. They tell of the birth of Zeus, of Apollo, of Artemis and her nymphs, of Delos as the refuge of Leto, of the blinding of Tiresias, and of Erysichthon's hunger.
