Metamorphoses

Μεταμορφώσεων συναγωγή

Forty-one short prose tales of transformation, each headed in the manuscript by a note naming its source, most often Nicander's Heteroeumena (Transformations) or Boeus' Ornithogonia (The Generation of Birds). The collection preserves versions of myths that Ovid also used, and many stories found nowhere else. The English is a new GreekMythology.com translation of Martini's Teubner text of 1896.
