Nemean Odes

Νεμεονῖκαι

The eleven Nemean Odes celebrate victories at the Nemean Games, in honour of Zeus. Many are for athletes of Aegina and so dwell on the Aeacidae, the heroes of that island, Peleus, Telamon and Achilles.
