Astrology and Mythology

Astrology and mythology are closely connected, as they share a common origin in ancient cultures and beliefs. In fact, many of the terms used in astrological practices today have their roots in Greek and Roman mythologies.

Constellations

All of the constellations used by astrologers today are based on the Zodiac, which is a band of constellations that runs across the sky. The exception to this is the constellation Ophiuchus, which was not adopted into astrological practice because the sun barely passes through it during its journey through the Zodiac.

Despite this difference, there are many similarities between astrology and mythology. Both use symbolism to convey meaning and both can be used to interpret the past, present, and future. Ultimately, both astrology and mythology offer unique perspectives on the world that can be used to better understand ourselves and our place in the universe. Astrology and mythology are interconnected as Mythology offers a background story to Astrology.
