Tethys, Posiden's mother Picture

This is Tethys with baby Posiden suckling milk from her.

Tethys is a an orca whale who had been captured at a young age. she was hauled away at only three years old and put into a park where she was trained to do tricks. She was named Tethys, because Tethys in Greek mythology was wife to the ocean, and gave birth to sea nymphs. So they named her Tethys because they intended on eventually breeding her. And she gave birth to three sons and three daughters through her time at the park. Each of her sons were named after Greek titans one was named after a Greek god, Oceanus, Posiden and Hyperion. And Each of her daughter were named after sea nymphs Galatea, Amphitrite and Thetis
