Song Inspired - Muse Picture

I was listening to Muse – Undisclosed desires and browsing through my old artworks. When I saw ([link]), something new popped up in my mind.

The story is simple – it was originally a character meant to be a valkyrie, but then I heard Moondance so it became nothing. But now, I came up with a story to go with the character. She is after all Valkyrie, and the little red thing beside her is her companion.

Wikipedia says: “In Norse mythology, a valkyrie (from Old Norse valkyrja "chooser of the slain") is one of a host of female figures who decide who will die in battle. Selecting among half of those who die in battle (the other half go to the goddess Freyja's afterlife field Fólkvangr), the valkyries bring their chosen to the afterlife hall of the slain, Valhalla, ruled over by the god Odin. There, the deceased warriors become einherjar. When the einherjar are not preparing for the events of Ragnarök, the valkyries bear them mead.”

So basically, something like an angel.

I know you suffered
But I don't want you to hide
It's cold and loveless
I won't let you be denied

Soothe me
I'll make you feel pure
Trust me
You can be sure

I want to reconcile the violence in your heart
I want to recognize your beauty is not just a mask
I want to exorcise the demons from your past
I want to satisfy the undisclosed desires in your heart

Doesn’t this sound like something a valkyrie would sing to a dying hero? To me it does.
