The Horsewoman Picture


Patron of horses, fertility and pregnant women, travelers, the Lady of Dreams and Nightmares and one of the most prominent gods in gallic pantheon. Also worshipped by other Celtic nations and even by Romans under the name Eponae.
Portrayed as a white mare or young woman riding/in the company of horses, often with a colt(symbol of motherhood) surrounded by birds or dogs, carrying grain or feeding it to the horse. Sometimes a snake is entangled in her hands - symbol of Fate, or so I've read.
