A sacrifice for a vision Picture

Odin: warrior, judge, king. Even though his ravens would tell him about everything happening in all of the nine worlds, nothing could satisfy his thirst for knowledge. May it be losing his eye at Mimir's well or hanging himself, pierced by his own spear, to learn from the dead - no sacrifice paid seemed to outweight the importance of wisdom to him. However, even though he finally knew all fates of god and men, he wasn't able to avoid his own death by the hands (or rather fangs) of the Fenris wolf in the dawn of gods, Ragnarök.
