Cerberus Bookmark Picture

Another masterpiece from the depths of my closet. I really really like this piece! This was a bookmark I made after reading a book on Cerberus, the 3 headed dog which guards Tartarus in Greek mythology. As a tradition back in middle school, I would draw a bookmark for each book I finished reading. It's sad because I don't read as much as I used to and the bookmark thing was a good tradition to have. Hmm..I might pick it up again!

"Cerberus" by Bernard Euslin

Cerberus kept his pledge. For the next thousand years, he served Hades, guarding the tall iron gates of Hell, keeping the dead in and the living out...so that one day his beloved Delia might be returned to him.

No one ever thinks that the monsters have interesting pasts, but they do! I remember reading the stories of Scylla, the wolf monster, as well as Medusa and others. I recommend these books highly!
