Eros, son of Chaos Picture

In Greek mythology Eros, the youth god of erotic love and desire was born from Chaos, or alternatively from Night (Nyx) and Darkness (Erebus).
As such, Eros is a deity which is primeval, representing the creative urge in nature.
The roses are significant in so far as the word rose is an anagram of Eros, but also the flower, with its thorns, is much like Eros himself; beautiful, yet harmful - love and lust can become obssesion, and cause people to even kill, under its' influence.
