Narcissus Reborn Picture

(Greek: Νάρκισσος)

According to Greek mythology, Narcissus was the beautiful son of the River Cephissus in Boeotia and the nymph Linope.
Many loved him, including immortals and mortals.
Narcissus was then condemned by Nemesis, goddess of retribution, to spend the rest of his days admiring his own reflection in a pool. At last he died and was turned into the flower that bears his name.
