The Graces Picture

"The graces were three...The daughers of Zeus and Eurynome....[were] a triple incarnation of grace and beauty." -- Edith Hamilton "Mythology"

They are rarely depicted as seperate entities, with the exception of Aglaia who married Hephaestus.

From the right: Euphrosyne (Mirth), Aglaia (Splendor) and Thalia (Good Cheer). Thank you to the beautiful ladies who provide such wonderful stock for us to use.

Okie... So I've been reading this book about Mythology.. and I got to the part about the three graces and I was like "WOW! I want to do that!" So it got me to thinking.. how do you portray things like good humor and mirth? Splendor? First thought -- Clowns. Problem is I have an almost crippling fear of clowns.. but I decided to do it anyway. So.. here is is. It's not exactly how I pictured, but I'll come back to it and do it again when I figure out how it needs to change.

As always I welcome constructive criticism and comments.
