Hemera Goddess of the Day Picture

In Greek mythology, Hemera is the goddess of the day. Her job was to bring up the sun as her mother took down the moon, and vice versa.

She is the younger sister of Eris, the goddess of chaos. In my fan fiction "Discord," she was greatly admired by her parents as the daughter they always wanted. The story was inspired by the Broadway musical "Wicked" and Hemera was partly inspired by the character Nessarose, who was the sister of the Wicked Witch of the West.

However, Nessarose changes in "Wicked" for the worse, unlike Hemera who will always remain sweet and never is put in a wheelchair.

She has dark hair and wears dark robes, but that's only because her mother wanted her to be a splitting image of herself.
