Eris Picture

This is the beginning of small series that I decided to do - Goddess Pantheon. I'll be drawing works of Greek Goddesses chosen by me or in the pool voting.

The fist one I have chosen was Eris, sometimes called the goddess of chaos. The reason behind that is probably because my life for some time has been quite chaotic and nerve recking.

Eris is the Greek goddess of strife and discord, her name being translated into Latin as Discordia. Her Greek opposite is Harmonia, whose Latin counterpart is Concordia. lder daughter of dark Night (Nyx), and the son of Cronus who sits above and dwells in the aether. The other Strife is presumably she who appears in Homer's Iliad Book IV; equated with Enyo as sister of Ares and so presumably daughter of Zeus and Hera.
