MLPxP4: Fortune Picture

I don't even have Renee in the TV world yet, but I just couldn't wait. XD So yeah, this is Renee/Rainbow Dash and her Persona, Iris of the Fortune arcanum, for Persona P. I originally said Persona P was on hiatus in order to put more priority on my other MLP fanfic, Chaos in Harmony, but after my external hard drive crashed, I remembered chapter 4 of Persona P better than chapter 1 of Chaos in Harmony.

Iris is the Greek personification of the rainbow and messenger of the gods, essentially the female version of Hermes. She's able to fly with the speed of the wind from one end of the world to the other. As far as I can tell, she doesn't have a Roman counterpart.

Design-wise, I went with a Wonderbolts homage in terms of the outfit, as well as making her overall fairly robotic look mainly due to the arcana connection of the character in Persona 4 that is also part of the Fortune arcanum (Naoto Shirogane, who is coincidentally my favorite P4 character, as how Rainbow Dash is my favorite pony...but Renee's role in the story is more like Chie than Naoto). The wings, obviously in a rainbow, were meant to resemble a mechanical-looking wing design featured in the Pony Maker, and the helmet is intended to resemble her "bad Gala dress" helmet. Element of Loyalty and the Master Sword a badass sword that shall remain nameless completes the look.

While Renee fits the story role of Chie Satonaka, Iris is, battle-wise, in the role of Yu Narukami and Kanji Tatsumi's Personae, Izanagi (Yu, at least initially as he has Wild Card) and Take-Mikazuchi/Rokuten Maoh (Kanji), in that she learns mainly Zio (lightning-based) spells and physical attacks. As I've finally decided whether or not to give the characters melee weapons (answer: I will), Renee will be using a wooden replica sword. Guess what it resembles. Go on, guess. *coughmasterswordcoughcough*
