And then suddenly everything was butterflies. Picture

Let's see if I'll actually finish something I start this time.

Okay, look, I can explain. I have this big obsession with butterflies and moths, so I’ve been trying to link BBC Sherlock characters to types of butterflies in my head.
John gets a Peacock butterfly (Inachis Io), my favourite. The underside of its wings is brown and plain, but when it feels at ease and opens its wings, it’s just so gorgeous and colourful.
Moriarty, of course, gets a Death’s-head Hawkmoth (Acherontia Atropos). There’s tons of mythology surrounding this moth, and it is often associated with death and evil.

I still don’t have a clue which butterfly to use for Sherlock, though. I wanted to use the Old World Swallowtail (Papilio Machaon), but I changed my mind and now I want to use that one for Mycroft, if I ever get around to drawing him. Molly would be a Silver-studded Blue (Plebejus Argus), and Mrs Hudson could be a Comma (Polygonia C-album), but I’m completely clueless when it comes to Sherlock. Any suggestions are welcome.

Okay, I’m done ranting about butterflies now.
