Modern Calypso Picture

Calypso is, in Greek mythology, and Oceanid, or Sea Nymph. She is the daughter of the Titan, Atlas. In the Odyssey, she held Odysseus on her island for seven years, only letting him leave when Zeus sent Hermes to order her to. Her name means "to hide" or "to conceal," the opposite of the word apocolypse, which means "to reveal," so some people say she may have originally been a death goddess.

NOTE: this pic looks sooooooo much better in person, seeing it in FULL VIEW helps. i hate my scanner's electrical guts. also, i was originally going to have a net somewhere in the outfit, but i decided against it. calypso won't be bound by a net.
