Persephone Picture

Decided the name was a bit cheesy, so I decided to make it a bit more meaningful. Persephone was, in Greek mythology, the Queen of the Underworld. She was abducted by Hades and even though her mother, Demeter, cursed the land until she was returned, because Persephone had eaten some of the fruits of hell she had to spend a part of the year down there. Her return is marked by growth and flowering fields, but her time in hell is a period of cold and death.

For my digital photography class.

Special thanks to my friend, Katie, for modeling for me!

Taken at the Susquehanna River outside of Selinsgrove, PA.
