Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt Picture

This is a doll of Artemis, goddess of the hunt and of virgins! According to mythology, Artemis was the twin sister of Apollo, and the daughter of Zeus. She never desired to marry, and only ever kept the company of her nymph attendants. She never let a man see her naked, and when one unlucky man stumbled across her bathing, she turned him into a stag. Artemis was also associated with the moon and was the guardian of unmarried women.
