Helen of Troy Picture

This is an older sketch that I decided to colour.

Helen of Troy. She was the daughter of Zeus who was transformed into a swan in order to seduce Leda, who btw was already married. Leda later gave birth to two eggs (well she concieved with a swan), in the first was Castor and Polydeuces and in the second was Helen.
She was later promised by godess Afrodite to Paris who abducted her from her husband, king Menelaus, and thus started the Trojan war.

Some centuries after the Iliad was writen, Euripides wrote a tragedy about her saying that it wasn't really her who went to Troy but a cloud in her form, while she was taken to Egypt
