The Naiads Picture

wow this one was a leap of faith on my part. I've never enjoyed doing greenery or water and this has both!

I'm very pleased with this piece, it's very soft and gently which is just what I want and the waves of her dress along with the petals makes it feel like she's being wisped away.

The Naiads are water spirits from Greek Mythology, they were beautiful maidens who guarded over the pond, lakes and waterfalls in marshy areas. They are well known for luring in men who disappear afterwards.

Zeus is known to favour them along with Apollo and they themselves have fallen in love with humans though only to end tragically.

This is the 1st image of my 15 credit module.

Media: Liner pen, Copic Sketch Markers, Ink and watercolour paper.
