Quietus: It Ends Tonight Picture

The walls start breathing
My mind's unweaving
Maybe it's best you leave me alone
A weight is lifted
On this evening
I give the final blow

When darkness turns to light
It ends tonight
It ends tonight

A falling star
Least I fall alone
I can't explain what you can't explain
You're finding things that you didn't know
I look at you with such disdain

Edit ~Added the lines on Itachi's face

A picture of younger Itachi and Mikoto, a few moments before the heaven incident takes place. I can imagine Mikoto saying something like "Watch/Take care of your brother for me." before she leaves to preform her nightly task for final time. All the while Itachi knows something isn't right he doesn't know what's wrong exactly and despite wanting too he does not question his mother.

I imagine Mikoto to be Nyx the goddess of the night, a shadowy figure who stood at or near the beginning of creation, and was the mother of personified gods such as Hypnos (sleep) and Thanatos (death). Her appearances in mythology are sparse, but reveal her as a figure of exceptional power and beauty. She is found in the shadows of the world and only ever seen in glimpses.

I imagine Mikoto to be Nyx due a specific paragraph dedicated to the primordial goddess of the night in Homer's Iliad. Where Hypnos the god of sleep reminds Hera of an old favor after she asks him to put Zeus to sleep. He had once before put Zeus to sleep at the bidding of Hera, allowing her to cause Heracles (who was returning by sea from Laomedon's Troy) great misfortune.

Zeus was furious and would have smitten Hypnos into the sea if he had not fled to Nyx, his mother in fear. Homer goes on to say that Zeus fearing to anger Nyx, held his fury at bay and in this way Hypnos escaped the wrath of Zeus. He disturbed Zeus only a few times after that always fearing Zeus and running back to his mother Nyx, who would have confronted Zeus with a maternal fury.

It seems I am on roll to day. Either way this is fanart for AngeLhearteD's Quietus. Which in case you don't know yet is a fanfic that follows the abduction myth of Hades and Persephone but with Naruto characters.

It's all pretty obvious but I will explain some stuff which inspired me, to sound cool, mind you.
