Pollux and Castor Picture

These are the Gemini twins, Pollux and Castor. According to greek mythology they are twins, but one has a mortal father the other was the son of Zeus. The mortal one died and Zeus's son shared his godliness to save his brother so every day the travel between hades and Olympus. (This is only one of the stories of course).

Pollux and Castor are also the names of the two brightest stars in the constellation. Pollux is a dim 1st magnitude star while Castor is a bright second mag.

This is my interruptation of what they look like. The one with the lyre is Pollux, whom i think was the godly one, and Castor has the bird, showing him more down to earth.
