Charon and Cerberus Picture

Charon, in Greek mythology, was the ferryman of Hades who carried souls of the newly deceased across the river styx to the realm of the dead.

Cerberus was the three-headed watchdog that guarded the underworld. He permitted new spirits to enter it but allowed none of them to leave.

The contra-bassist with his instrument reminded me of Charon and his paddle, the three lamps above him are Cerberus and the orange smoke just adds to the ominous atmosphere of the photo..
