Breo-Saighit "A Fiery Arrow" Picture

Brigantia or Brigid, Celtic (Gallo-Roman and Romano-British) equivalent of the Roman warrior goddess Minerva and the Greek Athena.
The primeval, wild look of the Celtic costume and blue face paint was inspired by Keira Knightley's portrayal of Guinevere from the film King Arthur. The extension of the braid became my reason for incorporating a traditional Celtic motif. Although indistinguishable, the metallic nobs on Brigid's torc, closest to the meeting of the collar bones, bears the bearded likeness of Taranis, the Celtic god of Thunder. This was my way of paying homage to the foremost deity of Germanic mythology, Thor.
