Clytie Picture

"Clytie," by William Henry Rinehart; statue is at the Chrysler Museum, in Norfolk, I think. Um... or the Metropolitan? Something like that.

A water nymph of Greek mythology, Clytie got unluckily involved with the god Apollo and ended up turned into a sunflower (the statue is holding one, but you can't see it in the close-up).

I just loved how you can see how depressed she is, here.
