Mictlantecuhtli Picture

For my final in a drawing class, I decided to do three personifications of death from different cultures. This is Mictlantecuhtli, who is more of a God of the Underworld from Aztec Mythology, but his character and image enticed me during my research so i decided to use him. (with a skull for a head and the necklace of human eyeballs it seemed like fun.) My only wish is that I'd had more time in designing him. Of the three, this is my best composition.
Conte on parchment. I used myself as the model (and one of my roommates modeled the dead guy being dragged.)
