Pantheon - Hermes Picture

Hermes - God of Tricksters, Thieves, Athletics, and Travelers. He's also known as the messenger god, and is often depicted with winged sandals. He also would be thought to lead souls down into the underworld, due to his experience in traveling between the worlds. He is famous for his tricking and soothing of Apollo, in which he stole the man's cattle, then when he was found out, soothed the man by giving him a musical instrument he had created. For this, he's also seen as the god of inventors. The gods also used him as their thief. When something needed to be stolen which could not be stolen by anyone, Hermes was the one to be sent. And he was always successful.
