Hydra Picture

Figured I would toss this up, my take on the (in)famous Hydra from Greek Mythology, done for my Mythology class this semester.

The Hydra was the guardian of one of the entrances to the underworld, and lived in a cave in the middle of a nasty swamp. Apparently this entrance wasn't super important though, as Hercules was told to kill it as the second of his twelve labors (which were punishment for killing off his own family in a blind rage, what a champ!) He ends up killing it with the help of his cousin/charioteer/twin (depends on the version you hear) Lolaus, and the Hydra becomes a constellation as a consolation prize.
