We'd been talking about the Greeks, of course, and beneath this drawing of a young man with wings instead of arms I'd scrawled PERSEUS. When I decided to do a retelling of the myth circling around Danae , Perseus' mother, I remembered that particular doodle and it all made sense!

Danae is the young woman with the knife. Perseus, her "son", is the one with the wings. Once again, with my love of very tall men and short women... x.x
