A last minute entry for *syccas-stock's mythology contest. It took me for ever to pick a myth, probably because I wanted to do a friendly myth instead of a cannibalistic one when I was referencing a book of monsters.

This is the name of a race of giants in the traditions and folklore of the Coos Native American people in western Oregon in the United States. These giants lived by the rivers, where they existed on a diet of fish. They coexisted peacefully as neighbors with humans."

The description is from Carol Rose's book "Giants, Monsters & Dragons: An Encyclopedia of Folklore, Legend, and Myth"

Thanks to *syccas-stock for the woman [link] and *SenshiStock for the giant [link]
