The Killing of the Bull Picture

After doing this piece… I came to realize how similar the next step, the actual killing of the bull, would be to the central theme in the myth of the roman god Mithras as it is shown in the art left from that mythology. So I felt I had to do that scene with Tor posed similarly to how Mithras was posed. Google Mithras and look at images and you will get lots of these pictures.

In the pictures of Mithras generally was incorporated a dog, a snake, a scorpion and sometimes a raven. I've substituted the scorpion with a crab to stay within a Nordic environment. What the animals symbolize I have no idea about.

Mithras used a knife or a short sword.
