Wrap My Head Around It Picture

Now available for sale as a print in my Etsy shop! www.etsy.com/listing/173908395…

Conceptual painting from a couple months back. I was really perplexed by the phrase "trying to wrap my head around it" while contemplating the reasons people do what they do. I got the image of a brain unraveling and curling around physically trying to grab an object. That concept evolved into forming a dreamcatcher, a mythological collective of subconscious thought.

If anyone is unfamiliar with dreamcatcher myths, the one I am familiar with states that it captures both good and bad dreams. Good dreams are returned to the sleeper while bad dreams are held in the web until the light of the sun burns them away forever.
