Kid meets Slavic memraids Picture

Most people dont know that mermaids existed in Slavic mythology a long time ago. But istead of having fish tails they had legs like normal humans and could breath both underwater and on the surface.

According to the myths they lived in forests, near ponds or lakes. They posed absolutely no threat to females but if they ever spotted a man or a boy they'd come out of hiding, run up to him and ask a question - "Wormwood or parsley?" If the answer was "wormwood" the mermaids would get upset and run away. But if the answer was "parsley" they'd all jump the boy and literally tickle him to death. They'd drag him into water and keep tickling him until he can no longer breathe.
