Greek Mythology - Griffin Picture

A part of my final project for 2D design class, fall 2007 semester, which was a 2x3-inch book about different influences on Greek Mythology, as well as the influences it's had on the world.

This is the griffin. Its entry read:

"The Griffin is a creature that resembles a lion with the head and wings of an eagle. Griffins make nests like eagles, and they lay sapphires instead of eggs. They were likely influenced by the Axex of ancient Egypt, a feline body with the head of a falcon."
