Tiki tiki was another project I worked on while at Wellington Polytech (or Weltec). It was the creation of Jacob Luamanuvae and Uili Fecteau. Uili was my contextual studies tutor at Weltec, and asked me if I would contribute conceptual art, and draw the first issue of the comic. I wasn't able to get the comic done in time, and Jacob and Uili had moved on. But I kept the artwork, of which I am quite proud, and present some of it here for your perusal. The comic was to meld Polynesian mythology with futuristic adventure. I still loved the idea, but I perhaps wasn't able to inject the imagery with the right atmosphere. However, I relished the doing of it.
