The Pale Rainmaking Trumpet Picture


Airavata is the Hindu god Indra's mount. It's a mighty, spotless-white elephant, with four tusks and seven trunks. He draws water from the underworld and sprays it above, making rain fall and soothing the parched earth. He's also called "elephant of the clouds" and "brother of the sun". He was portrayed on the Laos national flag.
