'Wulver: A quaint and quite benevolent Scottish beast, whose fearsome appearance belies his mild nature. With the body of a stocky human, the wulver has a wolf's head and brown fur on its arms and legs. It does not share the wolf's predatory habits, preferring to sun itself on a river bank and idly catch fish for its dinner. It has eveb been known to leave fish on the doorstep of a poor or needy family.'
