If you're wondering what the hell is going on with his face, I based his skin off these weird things called solar granules. My dad told me their scientific name, but it had multiple syllables and its gone now. Basically they're spots where hot sun-gas stuff boils up, and then cools and is pushed to the side where it turns a darker color, patterned in a rough hexagonal shape. Each granule is hundreds of miles wide. Pretty cool, eh?
