The first finished illustration from my senior project! This piece features the raven and his human counterpart. In Native American mythology, the raven plays tricks on others to benefit himself and he is credited with stealing light and thus creating the sun. A human version of the raven is mysterious and deceitful, hence the crossing of fingers behind his back.
