Flames Within These Black Feathers Picture

Yatagarasu ("crow of eight virtues" or "crow or many virtues") is a divine crow of Shinto mythology. There are many and contradictory sources on him, but in the most commonly accepted form he's the three-legged crow that lives in the sun, messenger of Amaterasu. In this he's kind of a derivation of the Chinese sun crow Huoniao. This great crow was sent from heaven as a guide for Emperor Jinmu on his initial journey from the region which would become Kumano, to what would become Yamato. He's currently the symbol of the Japan Football Association.
