circa and the cops Picture

whilst the world's attention was held with the wasted opportunity that was bob's live8, over a million people descended onto edinburgh to make their voices heard by the leaders of the world's 7 richest countries (and russia)....

we need social justice, we need to make you and your corporations accountable for the evil you are doing to the world's people and the beautiful blue and green planet we all call home. there were people from all walks of life, from all nations. i met people from new zealand and portugal who felt as angry as i do about how global warming has already started taking lives and we cant get past the fact that we need to stop burning fossil fuels, and about the illegal war in iraq, the unlawful occupation of palestine, the control that multinational companies have on our lives and the way we trade crippling small countries, about how we dont hear enough dissent within our media, why do we insist that small countries adopt free trade that allow our companies to own a countries water supply (for example) whilst all the time using protectionist methods of our good subsidising our farmers thus increasing world poverty.... i could go on but i think you get the idea....
