The Hydra Tree Picture

In mythology--more specifically, Greek mythology--, the Hydra was one of the monsters Hercules had to slay as part of his twelve labors. The Hydra had many heads (for every one cut off, two would grow back in its place, as there was only one that was immortal), hence the title "The Hydra Tree". After killing it he dipped his arrows in the creatures blood, thus giving him poisonous arrows (since the Hyrdra's blood was toxic).
