Oh good lord, Soushoueil and Miroslav had a lovechild.

Just kidding; it's a rusalka. The Loumari, not content with their vampiric pumpkins, co-opted the rusalka into their mythology a thousand years ago. She is now a malevolent spirit of still and stagnant waters who drowns humans and animals, poisons groundwater supplies, and steals and eats any baby that's bathed or baptised in a lake. There is no way to pacify her because she just loves eating people so much, so the Loumari avoid lakes if they can help it. She can be recognised by her untied kelp headscarf. (I would hope that she could also be recognised by her scales, tail, four arms and enormous saggy boobs, but Avsandria is a funny place.)
