Silver Ravenwolf Picture

"Silver Ravenwolf is not a reputable source. She's dangerous to the community and is the main reason there is so much misinformation."

This was going to be the point where I pulled out How To Ride A Silver Broomstick but I found a site that had the quotes ready. So I'll input my opinions.

If you intend to grovel before a God form, please stop here and throw this book away…The common act of sniveling at their feet is unacceptable. If you truly want that type of relationship with “higher-ups”, there are plenty of well-cultured religions that will gladly open their arms to you. (page 43)
Erm. This is mistake #1. I don't know if she's taking a swipe at Christianity but some of the hard lined Pagans, those who take worshiping their deities seriously (ie Hellenic, Asatrurs, etc) will say that the deities aren't your friends. You don't work with them, you work for them. That you're supposed to fear them because the worshipers before you, feared them. They were fucking scary in their respective lore. I can't comment on BTW because I'm not initiated and I think that would be under "things you don't talk about."

I believe one of the biggest problems Witches face today is the influx of Christianity and its “turn the other cheek” melodrama. More and more individuals are leaving the Christian Kingdom in favor of ours, but they bring with them brains that have been hammered for years with another philosophy. (Page 270)
I don't see how attempting to be a better person is melodrama. Nor do I get her hatred of Christianity. I don't even know about people leaving the Christian Kingdom and becoming Pagan/Witches/Wiccans. I don't even know what a Christian Kingdom is? (Someone explain this to me). Now most individuals are seemingly becoming more atheistic. Though she does speak little truth: Those who do convert to Paganism do take their Christian beliefs with them and try to adapt it to the Gods and even the various religions. Especially with harm none and that the Gods are lovey dovey. Yadda Yadda.

There are two kinds of [divinatory] readings, those for magickal people and those for “once-borns” (a term Bried Foxsong, publisher of Sacred Hart, uses). Once-borns belong to other religions that do not believe in reincarnation or magick. (Page 152)

A once-born will get “hooked” before a magickal person, because they are totally unfamiliar with the intricacies of magick and divination. (Page 158)

Again I ask: Huh? I had to look up the word but apparently it's referring to people not regenerating spiritually. Is this some kind of pagan born again thing? As far as her writing the word's not needed. People use this spelling to seperate magic from street magic which is more aptly titled Illusionism. The only time it's acceptable to use the word magick is when talking about Thelema and Crowley. Otherwise it pisses off Chrome. (Fucking red lines over this post.)
Satanic Witch: One cannot be a satanic Witch because Witches do not believe in satan. (Page 13)
I take it she never read Anton LeVay's Satanic Witch. Note: Satanists can be witches. Witchcraft is open to everyone religious or not. And even Christians. Get over it. (New stamp idea
