I have always loved pomegranate juice, but the first time I ate an actual pomegranate was last night at Marc's house. I liked it so much that Marc and I went out and bought two big pomegranates this afternoon. We learned the proper way to de-seed it:
Cut the pomegranate in half and place both halves in a large bowl of cool water. Break apart the halves under water and separate the seeds. The seeds will sink to the bottom of the bowl and the "pith and membrane" (haha) will float to the top. Then you can just skim out the unwanted stuff, drain the water, and enjoy the approximately 840 seeds! Tasty
