((Sidenote: Ugh, I was doing so well and today my art skills forsook me when I needed them, the art will hopefully be updated with something better when they decide to return. Also, I had a derp moment ad misspelled her persona name. It should be: Lorelei))

Character Bio:

Anybody order a lolita character~?

Name: Zephie L'Reux
Age: 15
Birthday: April 16
Gender: Female
Year: First Year
Element: Ice
Arcana: Moon

Height: 5' 2''
Weight: 90 lbs
Hair color: White blonde
Figure: Slim (not much endowment either, but she's super self-conscious about it)

Personality: Zephie is a fairly quiet individual, but quiet people often have the loudest minds. This is definitely true in her case. She's immensely creative and enjoys writing short stories and composing. She feels most comfortable when she's in a secluded place with a peaceful atmosphere. While she is more on the introverted side of the spectrum, Zephie doesn't mind social situations. In fact, she'd like to be included in them more often but is unsure of how to approach others. She's rather shy and prone to over-analyze everything someone else says or does. Once she gets comfortable around someone, she'll warm up considerably. She becomes very protective of her friends, even a little possessive at some points. Academically, she's pretty sharp and finds it easy to pick up on new skills. Often times she doesn't realize other people aren't at her level and require more patience and practice to understand something. Zephie is the type to think things through; she prefers to sit back and observe things before taking action.

Backstory: Zephie was the odd one out among her classmates. While everyone else ran around outside, playing on the jungle gym, bouncing balls, etc she would sit quietly somewhere under a tree and read. She wanted to join in, but couldn't bring herself to ask her other classmates if they wanted to play. The other kids began to see her as standoffish and a bit strange. They began to tease her by calling her bookworm and other names. The bullying never escalated into anything horrible, but it was disheartening to say the least. Middle school was even worse, friends that she thought were kind and close to her turned and stabbed her in the back (as middle school girls often do). Zephie seemed to resign to being alone with her books, which wasn't so bad. However, she thought a fresh start by applying to a high school a little further away might be a nice chance to meet new people. She's a little nervous about this new year, but can't wait to get started!

Misc. Facts:

~Zephie has a pet dog, a Saint Bernard named Benji. A gentle giant, she and Benji practically grew up together. She loves playing frisbee with him, and she's developed a really amazing throwing arm because of it. (Hence, the reason why she uses chakrams. Since they're a type of throwing disc, she's very good at aiming and catching them.)
~Her hobbies are writing, composing, playing the viola, and ballet dance.

Persona: Lorelei

A quick lesson in the mythology from wikipedia:

The name comes from the old German words "lureln" (Rhine dialect for "murmuring") and the Celtic term "ley" (rock). The translation of the name would therefore be: "murmur rock" or "murmuring rock". The heavy currents, and a small waterfall in the area (still visible in the early 19th century) created a murmuring sound, and this combined with the special echo the rock produces to act as a sort of amplifier, giving the rock its name.[1] The murmuring is hard to hear today owing to the urbanization of the area. Other theories attribute the name to the many accidents, by combining the German verb "lauern" (to lurk, lie in wait) with the same "ley" ending, with the translation "lurking rock".

Original folklore and the creation of the modern myth

The rock and the murmur it creates have inspired various tales. An old legend envisioned dwarves living in caves in the rock.
In 1801 German author Clemens Brentano composed his ballad Zu Bacharach am Rheine as part of a fragmentary continuation of his novel Godwi oder Das steinerne Bild der Mutter. It first told the story of an enchanting female associated with the rock. In the poem, the beautiful Lore Lay, betrayed by her sweetheart, is accused of bewitching men and causing their death. Rather than sentence her to death, the bishop consigns her to a nunnery. On the way thereto, accompanied by three knights, she comes to the Lorelei rock. She asks permission to climb it and view the Rhine once again. She does so and falls to her death; the rock still retained an echo of her name afterwards. Brentano had taken inspiration from Ovid and the Echo myth.

Statue of Lorelei by Ernst Herter:
Heine memorial in The Bronx, New York
In 1824 Heinrich Heine seized on and adapted Brentano's theme in one of his most famous poems, Die Lorelei. It describes the eponymous female as a sort of siren who, sitting on the cliff above the Rhine and combing her golden hair, unwittingly distracted shipmen with her beauty and song, causing them to crash on the rocks. In 1837 Heine's lyrics were set to music by Friedrich Silcher in the art song Lorelei[2] that became well known in German-speaking lands. A setting by Franz Liszt was also favored and over a score of other musicians have set the poem to music.[3]" "

So in other words, her persona takes the form of a siren its specialty being ice attacks and its weakness is fire.

Lorelei, a temptress of the water, gives Zephie confidence and a dominating will, which she otherwise lacks. As Zephie and Lorelei grow together, Zephie becomes more taunting and even a little flirty in battle and Lorelei's skills become stronger. Lorelei works best as a support/damage. Her strength lies in her elemental attacks and abilities to debuff enemies.
