"The Eye of Horus is an ancient Egyptian symbol of protection, royal power and good health.
In one myth, when Set and Horus were fighting for the throne after Osiris's death, Set gouged out Horus's left eye. The majority of the eye was restored by either Hathor or Thoth (with the last portion possibly being supplied magically). When Horus's eye was recovered, he offered it to his father, Osiris, in hopes of restoring his life. Hence, the eye of Horus was often used to symbolise sacrifice, healing, restoration, and protection." (From Wikipedia)

I love drawing eyes, they have such deep symbolism in every culture, they allow us to see things, and they are very mysterious, even to this day we do not know what chemical process happens that transfers the light that reaches our eyes into images in our head.

I saw a picture on a sliced brain and someone pointed out that Eye of Horus ca be seen there, center of the eye is the Thalamus, the brow is Corpus Callosum, and the rest of the symbol encompasses the Cerebellum, Hypothalamus and the Pituitary Gland.

In the Cerebellum I places Thoth, since in the Cerebellum language is processed and Thoth is god of language, magic, and judgement, he fits well there.

Everything was done in vectors/Illustrator - pen tool is my life.
I cant decide with version is better with white of with black background.

Thanks for visiting, sorry for a bit of a long read, when I want to draw something very symbolic I tend to do A LOT of research. Helps me understand.
